About Manickavasagam trust
Manickavasagam Trust, established in 1922, has long been a pillar of spiritual growth and community development in Madur, Kallakurichi, Tamil Nadu. The trust was initially founded as a small initiative to support the construction and upkeep of Shiva temples in the surrounding villages. Over the years, it has played a crucial role in fostering devotion and enriching the cultural fabric of the region.
Dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, the trust has overseen the building and renovation of numerous temples, with its primary focus on the prominent temple located in Madur. This temple, known for its peaceful surroundings and deep-rooted heritage, is currently undergoing major development. Renovations and expansions are being carried out to modernize the temple complex, ensuring that it remains accessible and welcoming to all devotees while maintaining its traditional spiritual essence.

- Development of a Community Center to support life events of economically weaker section (like wedding), preservation of local culture (Vedic discourse’s, folk & classical musk training session)
- Health Care Programe to be extended to entire Manickavasagam Community
